Joanne Lake

Property Manager

Joanne Lake was born in Massachusetts and graduated from Salve Regina University Cum Laude with a Business Management Degree. She and her husband, Stephen Lake have been married for over 38 years and reside in Portsmouth. They started purchasing investment properties in the Newport County area at the very beginning of their marriage. This allowed Joanne to be able to stay home with their two wonderful daughters. Over the past 35 years, they have been buying, selling and managing their portfolio. Joanne has developed a comprehensive skill set that encompasses all facets of the industry.

Stephen Lake

Realtor / Property Manager

After a 28-year career teaching and coaching in Tiverton, RI, Stephen became a full time Realtor in 2005 . Over the last decade, he has been recognized as a multi-million-dollar producer and have been awarded for his top-level client services. Stephen's widespread industry experience includes primarily sales with both sellers and an array of buyers. However, what sets Stephen apart from the average Realtor is his experience as a real estate investor which bodes with rentals and property management. As a well-versed real estate professional Stephen manages his personal portfolio as well as a vast client portfolio treating the properties he manages as he would treat his own.

Ana Lake

CFO / Officer Manager / Realtor

Growing up in a real estate family Ana has been exposed to real estate investment, property management, sales and rentals. It was no shock when she finally decided to join the family business and get work towards her real estate license. Graduating from the University of Rhode Island with an accounting degree she wanted to set her focus on the business side of real estate.

Mary Fernandes

Office Administrator

Mary’s lifelong involvement in her family’s real estate business made a career in the industry a natural progression. She obtained her Real Estate license in 2017 and has since gained diverse experience in various real estate offices, where she has managed office operations, handled bookkeeping, developed marketing content & strategies, and overseen & assisted with rentals and sales. Mary joined Coastal Property Management in 2023. Outside of work, Mary has two young daughters- Isabel and Julia- who are her greatest blessings.

Kevin Buck

Property Manager / House Watch with Island Overlook Homewatch

Kevin grew up in a Navy family that moved to Newport in 1966 when he was a young child and has been a local homeowner for over 35 years, understanding the needs and concerns that come with owning a home. Kevin co-owned and managed a 39,000-square-foot multi-purpose health club in the area for 30 years and has the skills and resources to properly and safely maintain a facility of any size. Kevin is now combining his personal passion for home and property care, professional experience, and extensive community knowledge to support Coastal Property Management in becoming the premier property management organization in the area.

Donna Gaess

Property Manager

Born and raised in Bergen County, NJ until heading off to college in New England, Donna graduated from UMass Amherst with a BS in Sport Business, spending many years in the health club industry before shifting to my fathers outdoor advertising company, which included negotiating leases with property owners. She was later offered a position managing a 300 unit, undergraduate rental community which is where her property management career began. Gaining experience over the next several years, Donna was recruited to a firm in Scarsdale, NY where she was introduced to condominium management. Missing New England Donna headed back up north where she became an original partner of Coastal Property Management 15+ years ago. In 2022, Coastal Property Management was sold to the Lake family. Donna has become an irreplaceable asset to Coastal and continues on working along with the Lake's to revitalize and grow the business.
